A Unique Place
Since 1890, scientists have been coming to CSHL (then, known as the Biological Laboratory at Cold Spring Harbor). Several of them have revealed their first impressions of the 'Lab on the Harbor'. The history and culture at CSHL breed a unique atmosphere. At the beautiful seaside institution, it is impossible to escape the simultaneous tension and complementarity of looking into the past to enrich the discoveries of the future.
